Letter from Dr. Cobb

August 11, 2023

From the desk of Andrew C. Cobb, DDS, Diplomate ABDSM

To all of my wonderful patients and friends:

Life is full of many surprises and difficult decisions. After many months of thought, I have decided to step away from managing the practice and working full-time. I will continue to do what I love and provide care to all of you but with reduced hours. This will allow me to hopefully extend my career and continue my dental volunteer efforts as well as a limited teaching schedule.

Following a lengthy search, I found an extremely skilled practitioner in Dr. Azin Ghesmati. She is also an amazing individual with the highest sense of responsibility and integrity. As of August 11, 2023, I am transitioning my practice to Dr. Ghesmati.

I first met Dr. Ghesmati about 15 years ago and was very impressed with her abilities and desire for excellence. Dr. Ghesmati is a highly trained and skilled dentist, and she is very excited to take over the practice which started with my Dad, Dr. Everett Cobb, in 1958. Our core values will not change, and we remain committed to giving you the best care dentistry has to offer.

Dr. Ghesmati has been practicing as a General & Cosmetic Dentist for more than 15 years. Dr. Ghesmati received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from New York University College of Dentistry. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Biology and Kinesiology from York University in Toronto, Canada, and she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Software Computer Engineering.

Dr. Ghesmati has completed many advanced continuing education courses and has a vast amount of training and experience in complex restorative dentistry, implantology, dental materials, and endodontics. Dr. Ghesmati’s expertise and advanced training will be a welcome addition to the practice and a great convenience to you. This will allow us to expand the services we provide in-office, such as extractions, implant placement, and root canals. Dr. Ghesmati will be utilizing the most advanced technology being introduced in modern dentistry such as Microscope, Cone Beam imagining, and the newest 3D printers and cameras in addition to a fully digitalized in-house lab,  for which she has spent hundreds of hours training all around the world.

Dr. Ghesmati will be the new owner of the practice and I am honored to be working alongside her. Together, we will continue to provide you with the excellent dentistry you have come to expect from our office. You will be happy to know the staff that you have come to know and love – Nancy, Pat, Pam, Sandra, Cynthia, Sandy and Laurann – will also be staying with the practice.

I have no doubt that you will be as pleased as I am with Dr. Ghesmati. I ask that you remain a loyal patient and give her the opportunity to attend to your dental care. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Sincerely, yours in good dental health,

Andrew C Cobb, DDS
